Submission Instructions

 1.
Complete the Submission Form above (Call if you have questions).

 2.
Print out the Submission Form on your printer.

 3.
Sign the Submission Form - The signer must have the right to reproduce the art described herein.

 4.
Send to Crimson:

The original art or other media (for best results, original art is suggested.  If Computer Files or Slides or Transparencies are sent, please see the attached hot links.
We will treat your art as if it where our own, with extreme care.

If you send Crimson your original art, make sure it is properly packaged and insured.

5.
We will print proofs of your art work in the chosen size (up to 22" x 30" on paper and up to 20" x 24" on canvas) and on your chosen paper or canvas, within 5 business days, which will be sent back, along with your original, for your approval.

6.
Send back the proofs with the approved print signed by you and marked "Approved". Upon approval and the receipt of your final payment, we will print your Giclée prints within 5 business days and ship them to you.

7.
Initial deposit includes return UPS shipping of 1st proofs (Insurance is extra).

8.
Initial deposit does not include final order shipping charge of $18 plus insurance.
 

Notes

Original Art Media This is the media used by the artist to create his work of art and may or may not be the media delivered to Crimson.
  
 Media Delivered

For the very best results, we would like to work with your original art. We can work from high resolution analog photos (8" x 10" or larger), transparencies, slides or computer files (at least 300 dpi at output size - Photoshop PSD, TIFF, JPEG, BMP or GIF files). Photos should be on high gloss photo paper.  Slides and transparencies are problematic but we are willing to work with them if the original is not available. If you send a slide or transparency (See this link), please send along a photo for color correction purposes, if one is available and please see the attached hot links.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND FRAMED PIECES - UN-FRAME THEM IF NECESSARY.
   

Paper Type

Unless otherwise specified, all prints will be created on 100% Rag Fine Art Paper such as Arches 140 lb. CP Watercolor paper or Rives BFK with deckles (watermark - if requested).  Arches Cover White (250 gms/sq m)) or Buff (250 gms/sq m)) are also available on request.  We also have, Somerset, Stonehenge, Winsor & Newton, and many others available on request.

If you are not sure which paper to pick, we will be pleased to test more than one and help you pick the most appropriate choice for your work.
  

Desired Paper-Image Size
When you pick a pricing program you will also pick an approximate final print size. The paper/canvas size and quantity will determine the price of your prints.

IMAGE SIZE
This is the actual paper size. We suggest paper margins of at least 1.5" to 3" depending on the size of your print.  Therefore your image size will be approximately 3" to 6" inches less than the paper size.  When printing on paper, we strongly recommend that your margins be at least 2" to 3" for pieces 13" x 22" or larger.  For example, if you are printing on Paper and your image size is 12" x 16", then you would print on a 17" x 22" sheet.  This will give you 2.5" of margin on 2 sides and 3" of margin on the other 2 sides.  Dealers and collectors don't want pieces with skimpy margins.

When printing on canvas, specify the standard frame/image size and we will leave an additional 2" all around your image for stretching.  For example if you image is 14 x 18 we will print your 14 x 18 image on a piece of canvas which is 18 x 22.

Edition Size This is the ultimate number of prints you may wish to print. We recommend that you consider small editions (less than 150 with up to 20 artists proofs if you wish). This does not necessarily represents the number of prints you wish to print at this time.
  

Number of Prints Ordered

This is the actual number of Prints you wish Crimson to create after you approve the proof sent to you by Crimson. Our minimum order size is 15 prints unless you choose our Single Piece Pricing.
 
Response to Receipt of Proof(s) If you do not reply to us with an order or a list of changes required within 15 days after receipt of the proof(s) of your work, it is to be assumed that you wish to keep the proofs and agree to pay the "Single Piece Setup Fee" plus the "Single Piece Price" for all pieces kept.  If you order 15 additional pieces of a given proof within 30 days from the date the proofs where received, then the "Single Piece Setup Fee" will be totally credited toward the purchase price of the 15 additional pieces ordered.
